Rule made by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

of Hong Kong, with the concurrence of His Excellency

the Governor, under and in accordance with the provisions

of section 4 of the Suitors' Funds Ordinance, 1896,

Ordinance No.5 of 1896, as amended by section 3 of the

Suitors' Funds Amendment Ordinance, 1931, Ordinance

of 1931.

The Suitors' Funds Rules, published by Government

Notification No. 150 in the Gazette of the 14th September,

1928, as amended by the Rule published by Government

Notification No.142 in the Gazette of the 6th March, 1931

are hereby further amended as follows:-

(i) in rule 4(6) by the deletion of the

words "and shall immediately after such

payment forward to the Treasurer the

acknowledgment given by the bank in respect

thereof";

(ii) by the rescission of rule 7;

(iii) in rule 8 by the deletion of the words "and

the Registrar shall on request of the persons

entitled to payment issue the necessary

directions";

(iv) in rule 9 by the deletion of the words

"and the Registrar shall on the request of

the persons entitled to payment issue

the necessary directions";

(v) by the rescission of rule 22; and

(vi) in the Schedule by the deletion of Form No.4.
